Claridge's has somehow carved out another new space, this time adding a bakery. They've also brought in ex-Tartine baker Richard Hart to head it up.

The man who founded 081 Pizza is trying something new with this latest opening, featuring a London-style crispy pizza, albeit made by Italians, which they're calling "UK’s first Bri-talian pizza".

In a nutshell: Hidden Hong Kong-style restaurant

This is a secret Cantonese restaurant hidden at the back of Wonton Charlie's which is going to serve up a contemporary London spin on Hong Kong dishes.

In a nutshell: Covent Garden cocktail bar

With the bartender from Kioku Bar and Nipperkin involved, this looks like a great new cocktail bar with a big focus on sustainability and some "elevated American classics" on the food menu.

- The Horsemen (City of London) - The team behind the UK Sunday in Brooklyn are opening an Irish-American steakhouse and freehouse.
- Dishoom (London Bridge) - The next Dishoom could be beside Borough Market.
- The Devonshire (Covent Garden) - The team behind The Devonshire are looking to open a new Covent Garden pub and restaurant.
- The Polo Bar (Mayfair) - Planning to open in 2028, the old Vogue building will be hosting the London outpost of Ralph Lauren's Polo Bar.
- Arcade Food Hall (Covent Garden) - What was TGI Friday will be transformed into a new food hall.
- Mazi (Mayfair) - The popular Notting Hill restaurant in Notting Hill has its sights set on Mayfair's Bruton Place.
- New food court (Waterloo) - The team behind Vinegar Rard are opening a big food court beside the Imax in Waterloo.
- Big Mamma - They might be opening their next Italian restaurant next to 1 Lombard St
- Des Gunewardena in Canary Wharf - The Ex-D&D CEO is taking back Plateau
- Elephant (Oxford Street) - The old House of Fraser building is getting a rooftop restaurant.
- Portal Way - A huge new building hosting hundreds of kitchens and a food court is coming to Acton
Could go either way:
- Lagom - After two and a half years, Lagom has moved on from Hackney Church Brewery. Are they opening their own place? We'll have to see.
- The Black Cow (Shoreditch) - Supposedly opening at The Stage development in Shoreditch, news on this Middle Eastern steakhouse has gone quiet.
- Materia Prima (Marylebone) - SOLA's Victor Garvey does high-end dining in Marylebone, depending on a crowdfunder.
- Dué - Jesús Durón, executive chef of Pujo, which is in the World's 50 Best Restaurants list, is teaming up with Lindsay Jang of Hong Kong's Yardbird for a restaurant that's pitched as serving up "globally inspired, seasonally-focused upscale dining".
- Ergon House (Covent Garden) - This might bethe London outpost of Greek boutique hotel group ERGON House, in which they were planning to have both a rooftop restaurant and a bakery, butchers, fishmongers and greengrocer on the ground floor. Things have gone quiet, on this one recently.
- Wagyumafia are allegedly bringing their VERY expensive sandwiches to London - with both a sandwich shop and a butcher's kitchen.
- The Trellis skyscraper, currently being built, will have a high-rise restaurant.
