Almost a year after Ce la Vi opened on Paddington Square outside the station comes another rooftop bar. But Torino is bringing something rather new to the table. Not only will this Italian self-dubbed 'social house' have a bar up on the roof with great views across London, but it'll also feature a restaurant and a bakery too.
Let's start with the bakery. That's the first of three floors and will be open from breakfast for a good strong Italian coffee, ending up with small plates later at night. The next floor up will be the restaurant serving up dishes like octopus, with tomato xo, cured egg yolk and confit garlic. Then up at the top is the rooftop bar serving up spritzes, wine and sharing plates.
It's quite the looker too, having been designed by the Fettle design studio who were also behind La Brasseria in Notting Hill and various branches of San Carlo so they know a thing or two about creating vibey Italian restaurants.
