The Wolseley Group are opening a hotel (and restaurant) in Mayfair

It's been a while since The Wolseley Group's last opening, which was The Wolseley City back in 2023. But now they're getting ready to open their first London hotel, and it's going to be part of their brand new Colbert Collection. 

Called The WestDill Mayfair, the hotel is opening on Piccadilly, in a space that's almost directly opposite The Wolseley (and is somewhere that Jeremy King was once rumoured to be taking over a few years ago). It's another central London ex-bank that's being converted to hospitality (it was once a big NatWest), so expect news at some point about what they're planning to do with the bank vault. We're guessing it'll be a bar. 

What we do know for sure right now is that it will be a five-star hotel (of course), there will be 50 rooms, and even though this is right across the road from their flagship restaurant, they'll have a new restaurant and bar here, both yet to be announced. Given the group name, will it be a second Colbert in London? We'll have to see. We'd also bet that this is the one hotel in London where the concierge can guarantee a last-minute table at The Wolseley.
