Although most of the current buzz around everyone's favourite Indian cafe, Dishoom, has recently been around their planned expansion to New York, it seems they're also looking at extending their London estate. It looks like work is already underway for a new Dishoom at London Bridge, just around the corner from Borough Market.
The restaurant group have been busy submitting plans to Southwark Council for a restaurant at The Hop Exchange, a fact spotted by trade title Propel. They're not taking over an existing restaurant space, but creating a brand new one in the building's West Wing. It would be a pretty big Dishoom too, covering two floors and expanding out towards the back of the Hop Exchange with a dining 'verandah' similar to what they have in Shoreditch.
All of this is still very much in play at the moment, so we don't know when or indeed if it will happen. But it's probably a late 2026 opening at best.
