The Tallyman will be Canary Wharf's new East End pub with pies, pints and fish and chips

They run Faber seafood restaurant in Hammersmith and The Somers Town Coffee House in King's Cross and now the same team are celebrating their 20th anniversary with a new opening. This time, it's a new pub in Canary Wharf.

It's early days on what to expect from the opening, but it will be much more like a proper pub than their seafood offering. The menu here promises to feature classic pub dishes as well as "celebrating British ingredients with a wholesome, sustainable focus." That should translate into traditional dishes like pies, shellfish and fish and chips. They're also promising kebabs alongside those.

Co-founder of the group, Anthony Pender, says that what they're aiming for is "an authentic East End pub inspired by the dockland history, with the warmth, honesty and character you’d expect from great pub hospitality - not just a space for a drink, but a place for all to feel a part of"

We'll have lots more news about this closer to the opening date.
