US celeb-loved chicken shop Raising Canes is hitting London (taking over Leicester Square’s Angus Steakhouse)

Across the pond its celebrity fans include Post Malone, Snoop Dogg and Cynthia Erivo. Now the chicken finger fast food giant that is Raising Canes is coming to London. And they've launched their campaign to win British hearts in a bombastic fashion, taking over the space that was for years the flagship site of Angus Steakhouse in the West End.

If, like us, you weren't already aware of the chain, here's a quick primer. They were founded 20 years ago in Baton Rouge and already have almost 1000 restaurants across the US. Their hero product is their 24-hour marinated, breaded chicken fingers - while people also rave about the Cane's Sauce. Other must-try items on the menu include their Texas Toast which is a milk bread sliced and covered in garlic butter before being grilled. We might be tempted to go along for just that alone.

We're told the West End location will pay homage to London "through carefully curated memorabilia and décor". The only problem now is the wait, as it's not predicted to open until the end of next year.
