Schofield's, one of the Manchester's best bars, is coming to London

Schofield's, one of the Manchester's best bars, is coming to London

It's currently in the top 10 of the UK's Top 50 Cocktail Bars (it last topped the list in 2024), and has previously reached no. 59 on the World's 50 Best bars list. Now one of Manchester's best bars is doing an Andy Burnham - it's coming to London.

The Manchester bar is run by brothers Joe and Daniel Schofield, who have both worked in London bars before, at Coupette and The American Bar at The Savoy. They've won a slew of awards since opening their bar, which is a "tribute to the cocktail heyday of the 1930s".

The London bar is taking over the former home of Chick n Sours in Covent Garden, so it's a largely lower-ground affair. At this point, they're keeping their exact plans quiet, but a look at the Manchester bar gives us an idea of what to expect. There, the menu features their own takes on a big range of classic cocktails, taking in everything from a Pennicillin to a Hawaiian Stone Sour, along with a Negroni, Manhattan, martini and more. Food is in the shape of snacks, cheese and charcuterie - the real focus is on the drinks.

Their Manchester bar looks fantastic too. We'll update this story as soon as we know what they're planning to do with the space in London.
