The big new London restaurants and bars opening in November 2026

It's the last big month of the year for new openings and it is busy. From the launch of the new London Museum and a host of restaurants and bars there to new openings from Tom Booton, the Kudu team and more, it's a packed month.

The new London Museum restaurants and bars

Smithfield - W Smithfield, London EC1A 9AG

One of the biggest launches this month is the big new London Museum that's taking over half of Smithfield Market. It's an absolutely huge endeavour and comes with a slate of new bars and restaurants. Run by Green & Fortune, you'll find restaurants and cafes run by Robin Gill and bars (including a non-alcoholic bar) from Mr Lyan (Ryan Chetiyawardana). In addition to these, there's also the launch of The Poet, a new pub from the team behind Sune. Paired with PAM, which opened in October and B Penhale below, the food and drink scene in this area is undergoing a massive sea change.

Opening: 28 November 2026

Braai Bird

Nunhead - 57 Nunhead Lane, London SE15 3TR

Last year, Kudu made a hugely successful move to Marylebone, uniting their restaurants and bars under one roof. However, they didn't give up the space that used to be Kudu Grill and now that's coming back in a different guise. Braai Bird is going to be mainly about rotisserie chicken from the wood-fired grill, paired with South African sauces. There'll also be a list of South African wines. So it's a more simplified menu than before, but it's a lovely space and one which locals will no doubt be very pleased to see open again.

Opening: 19 November 2026

Edmondo

City of London - 6 Lombard Street, London, EC3V 9LJ

Edmondo is the latest temple of extravagance from Big Mamma, the people behind Gloria, Circolo Popolare and more. We're yet to see just what they've done for their City debut, but we're promised "1930s Milanese glamour" and we doubt that it will be a subtle version of that. There will also be references to Ferrari throughout, while the Italian menu is as maximalist as ever, including a "towering" XL focaccia and huge steaks. The soft launch starts at the very end of October, so watch out for reveals of the room appearing on social media when that happens.

Opening: 6 November 2026

ElezarElezar

Mayfair - The Vestry, 2A Mill Street, W1S 1FX

It'll be third time luck for this revival of a Mayfair Crypt after both Brad Carter and Aldo Zilli couldn't make the place work. This latest attempt from one of the founders of Goodman, Misha Zelman, sounds like it's onto more of a winner. This time around, it's going to be an Eastern European-inspired chophouse, with caviar and dumplings paving the way for big cuts of meat and fish from the grill. Set in a vaulted crypt, it should also look good and it seems likely that the space has finally found a restaurant better suited for the impressive location.

Opening: 3 November 2026

B PenhaleB Penhale

Clerkenwell - 57 W Smithfield, London EC1A 9DS

This is opening near to the new London Museum, but it's a completely separate launch. It sees the team behind Borough Market's Camille moving away from the Frenchness of that restaurant to a British and Irish-inspired affair. Sounding not too dissimilar to the nearby St John in approach, they're also looking back to Victorian dishes for inspiration, and there will be a focus on offal and lesser-known cuts on the menu. We also love the idea of the standalone tea and biscuits course, served up with antique teapots and cups.

Opening: 16 November 2026

Bar DouroBar Douro

Soho - 10 Greek Street, London W1D 4DH

This is the third outpost of the Portuguese restaurant, taking over the space that used to be 10 Greek Street and it comes on the 10th anniversary of their first opening. Once again, the menu will celebrate Portuguese produce, but they're introducing something new here. They'll be the first restaurant in the country to import and serve Carnes Irmãos Unidos Maronesa beef (very popular in Portugal, so rarely exported) and they'll be serving it on the menu as vaca velha ribeye alongside the usual Bar Douro signatures.

Opening: 4 November 2026

Ralphie'sRalphie's

Chelsea - 87 Pimlico Road, London, SW1W 8PH

There had been murmurings about this new opening for months, but now we finally know what ex-Grill at The Dorchester chef Tom Booton is doing next. His first solo restaurant will be all about modern takes on British classics, with dishes like crispy cod cheeks scampi and on Sundays, a leg of lamb-stuffed ‘Shepherd’s Pie’ Yorkshire pudding. Drinks should also be a big deal here, as he's brought in Channel 4 Sunday Brunch regular Pritesh Mody to run the cocktail list, with drinks like a freezer-cold Beetroot Martini.

Opening: November 2026

Berryman'sBerryman's

Dalston - 508 Kingsland Road, Dalston, London, E8 4AE

The team behind Three Sheets are, like Bar Douro above, also celebrating their tenth anniversary. And to celebrate, they're opening a new bar just a couple of doors down from their first one in Dalston. This time around, it will specialise in martinis, oysters and wine, taking inspiration from both Cornish produce and the standing bars of Spain. And on that note, this will be a standing-only bar, so maybe don't sink too many martinis too quickly.

Opening: 13 November 2026

Han & HanHan & Han

Belgravia - 16 St Barnabas Street, London SW1W 8PE

Han & Han sees Jeff Tan, the chef who originally launched Hakkasan Mayfair, opening his own restaurant in Belgravia (taking on the old Roussillon site). A high-end affair, this restaurant will be all about modern Chinese cooking, while also being influenced by classic techniques. The menu here features a 36-hour dry-aged Peking duck with homemade black truffle pancakes and if you're wondering about the photo, that's because Tan also used to do private chef work, including cooking for Rishi Sunak at No 10.

Opening: November 2026

LunetteLunette

Temple - Level 11, 180 The Thames, London WC2R 3DA

You may be thinking, "But hasn't Lunette already opened?" Indeed, Florence Knight's new restaurant at the top of the St Clement hotel has been taking bookings for a few weeks now, but so far it's only been for invited guests. From November, it opens fully to the public. It's a beautiful restaurant and we loved the pared-back approach to the food here, as well as the excellent martini that comes in two ice-cold serves. We fully expect this to be prime star-spotting territory going forward.

Opening: 3 November 2026

Schofield'sSchofield's

Covent Garden - 1A Earlham St, London WC2H 9LL

Schofield's in Manchester is viewed as one of the best bars in the country, so opening its second location in London is a big deal. Taking over the space that used to be Chick N Sours, the menu here concentrates on their own takes of classic cocktails, from Penicillins to a Hawaiian Stone Sour, Negronis and more, with cheese and charcuterie as snacks. Covent Garden can always do with more cocktail bars, so this is one to watch.

Opening: November 2026
