It's another big month in London restaurant openings. We have the Crisp Pizza pub (with a little help from The Devonshire), the restaurant that's replacing Le Gavroche, a new Clare Smyth restaurant, award-winning burgers, and so much more.
The Marlborough
Mayfair - 24 N Audley St, London W1K 6WD
The past couple of years have been huge for both The Devonshire and Crisp Pizza, so bringing the two together in Mayfair is a very big deal indeed. The pub will have the same attention to its Guinness that you see in The Devonshire, while the downstairs restaurant is where you'll find the pizzas in a speakeasy-style space. The pizzas in question are some of the very best in London and if you haven't yet made the pilgrimage out to Hammersmith (where the pizzas will still be available), then a trip to The Marlborough is going to be an absolute must.
Opening: 10 November 2025
Bonheur by Matt Abé
Mayfair - 43 Upper Brook Street, London W1K 7QR
Matt Abé was the most recent chef heading up Restaurant Gordon Ramsay and (successfully) making sure it held onto its three Michelin stars. Now (with some backing from Gordon), he's opening his own restaurant in the space that used to be Le Gavroche. We're yet to see just what they've done with the place, but we can expect the food to be a fine dining affair, with a few tasting menu options on the cards. There's also a six-person chef's table if you want to get up close and personal with the chef.
Opening: 4 November 2025
Corenucopia
Chelsea - 18-22 Holbein Place, London SW1W 8NL
Clare Smyth (who is another Restaurant Gordon Ramsay alumnus) is getting ready to open her second restaurant this month. The only problem is that we know next to nothing about it. We do know that it's being billed as a "luxury bistro" and it's opening close to Sloane Square (and in a perfect location for the Chelsea Flower Show). We should get more details imminently, but with the success of Core behind her and another restaurant at Admiralty Arch next year, this is definitely one to watch.
Opening: November 2025
Whole Beast
Brixton - 336 Coldharbour Lane, London SW9 8QH
Whole Beast comes from the people who were once behind The Coal Rooms in Peckham. After that closed, they concentrated on Whole Beast, popping up across town and getting high praise from Jay Rayner along the way (and it's appeared in our My Manor features twice, in two locations). Their cheeseburger comes in for particularly high praise, but the whole menu should be worth crossing town for. Expect them to become even bigger when this permanent space opens.
Opening: Early November 2025
Vincenzo's
Shoreditch - 122 Bethnal Green Road, London E2 6DG
This is the second pizzeria to appear on the list this month, and it's one which also has a great reputation behind it. Vincenzo's has been hugely popular in its Bushey location, but Tom Vincent is trying something new as he brings his pizza to London. Here it'll be primarily a slice shop, with those slices starting at £5 each. Expect most of the pizzas from Bushey to make an appearance in London in slice form, particularly the unique spanakopita pizza. It's open "until late" so it should be a very popular late-night snack stop in Shoreditch.
Opening: November 2025 (may slip to December)
Mezzogiorno
Whitehall - Whitehall Pl, London SW1A 2BD
Francesco Mazzei is coming back to the London restaurant scene in style, taking over one of the main restaurant spaces in Corinthia London (with the other being Kerridge's). The restaurant here will be taking cues from Mazzei’s own Calabrian heritage which apparently means lots of chillies, soppressata and ‘nduja. Dishes we have our eye on include the Scottish crab with Tuscan panzanella and the three-meat meatballs. For dessert, there's a "giant" tiramisu and a pistachio cake with "salted caramel pistachio sauce, pistachio ice cream and sugar-coated pistachios". We 100% have to try that.
Opening: 20 November 2025
Poon’s
Temple - Somerset House, New Wing, Lancaster Place, London WC2R 1LA
The original Poon's was one of London's most well-known Chinese restaurants back in the day. Now Amy Poon, who's run pop-ups before this, is following in her family's footsteps with her own Poon's. It's all about transporting the feel of Chinese home cooking to the elegant setting of Somerset House. There will be wontons (her previous "wontoneria" was a big hit), claypot rice, noodles and more as well as hits from the original restaurant like its famous "magic soup". There's a great-value theatre menu here too, which will be very handy for Covent Garden and The Strand.
Opening: 5 November 2025
Passione Vino
Clerkenwell - 58 Exmouth Market, London EC1R 4QE
Passione Vino is a much-loved London wine bar, so a second opening from them is great news. And although Exmouth Market does have a good wine bar in 51 Cave a Manger, another one is always a good thing. This one will operate in a very similar way to the original, as in there's no physical wine list. Instead, the team will recommend their favourite bottles, tailored to your taste. Taking over what used to be a tattoo parlour, the history of the space will apparently be referenced in the design and as for food, they'll have a menu of Italian sandwiches.
Opening: November 2025
Trogolo
Notting Hill - 296 Westbourne Grove, London W11 2PS
Petersham Nurseries may have closed its Covent Garden restaurants, but the family behind Petersham are now getting ready for this new venture in Notting Hill. This will be a Florence-inspired trattoria and bar, with lots of long tables and an emphasis on communal dining. There will be a focus on both British and Italian producers, with dishes like sage leaves fritto or tagliolini with white truffle appearing on the menu. As for the wines, they'll have a strong leaning towards all things Tuscan, they in fact want to make the list one that's the definitive for Tuscan wines in London.
Opening: 11 November 2025
Wonton Charlie's
London Fields - 392-393 Mentmore Terrace, London Fields, E8 3PH
This London Fields restaurant comes from the team behind Mr Bao and Daddy Bao. While those restaurants have been Taiwanese, this sees them launching their first restaurant with Cantonese cuisine as its influence. As the menu suggests, it's mainly all about wonton soup, and they'll help you create your soup by picking your wontons of choice, combining them with broth and noodles. A walk-in only space, it'll be the perfect place to go after an autumnal walk around the park.
Opening: 7 November 2025
Khao Bird
Soho - 24 Brewer Street, London W1F 0SS
Originally from Brighton, Khao Bird first appeared in London as a long-term residency above a pub in Borough Market. That clearly went very well as they're now opening their permanent London restaurant in the middle of Soho. The Northern Thai food at the new location, with mochican-adorned Head Chef Luke Larsson once again in charge, will feature lots of live-fire cooking and BBQ and a menu that has "contemporary interpretations of traditional, hyper-regional techniques from Chiang Mai".
Opening: 12 November 2025
Hawksmoor St Pancras
King's Cross - St Pancras, Euston Rd., London NW1 2AR
When news broke that the space that used to hold The Midland Grand was up for grabs, talk immediately started that it would be a great place for a Hawksmoor. It turns out that founders Will Beckett and Huw Gott thought that too, and within weeks revealed their plans. They'll be putting their own stamp on the place, with a wooden floor being installed, while the menu will feature the usual Hawksmoor hits. They'll also be taking over what was The Gothic Bar. That will become The Martini Bar and we'll be down there ASAP to rate just how chilled their martinis are.
Opening: Late November (although it may slip to December)
