The team behind Notting Hill's Gold set their sights on Richmond

gold notting hill takes over pitcher and piano site in Richmond

In recent weeks there's been a flurry of activity on the riverbank at Richmond where the old Pitcher & Piano used to be. It's a huge site, with gardens leading down to the river. So naturally locals have been wondering what's opening there next.

Well, we think we have the answer. Following up reports on the My Richmond TikTok account that the folks behind Gold in Notting Hill were involved in the site, we did some digging. And indeed that looks to be the case with Gold's owner Nick House also a director of the company that's bought this space too.

Planning permission has been given for the addition of a conservatory, which will do good business in the colder months, while the restaurant will take over the ground and lower ground floors of the building.

There are no details (that we can find) as to whether this is planned to be a second Gold, or something new entirely. We'll keep you posted when we find out more.

More about the restaurant

Where is it? 11 Bridge St, Richmond TW9 1TQ

When does it open? TBC
