Corenucopia sees three-Michelin-starred chef Clare Smyth opening a "luxury bistro" in Chelsea

Corenucopia sees three-Michelin-starred chef Clare Smyth opening a "luxury bistro" in Chelsea

We were already aware of Clare Smyth's plans to open a restaurant inside the new Admiralty Arch development next year, but it turns out she has something else planned too.

The chef, who has three Michelin stars at her Notting Hill restaurant Core, is about to open a new restaurant in Chelsea, called Corenucopia. She's billing the restaurant as being a "brand-new luxury bistro".

As for the menu, think British classics given a Clare Smyth-style makeover. So Fish and Chips is Dover sole fillets with lobster mousse and Toad in the Hole features Cumberland sausage, black pudding, smoked bacon lardons, and a charcuterie sauce.

The space she's taking over used to be the short-lived Tabisca Italian steakhouse (and 1771 before that). If you went to the Chelsea Flower Show this year, there's a good chance you walked straight past it.

"Corenucopia has been a long-held dream," says Clare of her latest venture. "A place where British food feels both relaxed and exceptional."
