With a physical Michelin Guide no longer a thing (they stopped that back in 2021), the company that also makes tyres now adds new restaurants to the guide every month or so. These aren't new stars - but they can occasionally give us a clue to what might be getting a star, particularly if they highlight a specific restaurant. We're tracking which London restaurants get into the guide with each announcement, and come February 2026, we'll see just how many of these also got the coveted stars.
Updated for August, we see Giorgio Locatelli back in the guide, the follow-up to previous guide entry Leroy and more...
Added in August 2025
Duchy (Shoreditch) - The previous restaurant in this space, Leroy, was once awarded a Michelin star so this French/Italian restaurant will be happy to be back in the guide.
Locatelli at the National Gallery (Trafalgar Square) - Currently Giorgio Locatelli's only restaurant in London (and only open during the day), this is his Italian restaurant (and bar) inside the gallery.
Ploussard (Battersea) - This neighbourhood restaurant saw the Other Side Fried team pivot to small plates and wine, and it proved to be a very savvy move.
Chapel Market Kitchen (Islington) - Led by chef Maoz Alonim, this is an excellent seafood restaurant on Islington's Chapel Market.
Added in July 2025
The Prince Arthur (Belgravia) - Pub with high-end Basque-influenced food. (Highlighted restaurant)
Claro (St James) - Eastern-Med restaurant that originally started in Tel Aviv.
Fowl (St James) - Fallow spin-off that centres around beak-tail chicken
Dove (Notting Hill) - Jackson Boxer's reimagined restaurant with a highly rated off-menu burger
La Palombe (Kensington) - Highly-rated neighbourhood bistro from ex-Ledbury chef
The Lavery (Kensington) - Mediterranean dining in a beautiful Grade II-listed setting
Supawan (King's Cross) - Neighbourhood Thai restaurant
Added in June 2025
Goodbye Horses (Islington) - They refer to the food as "Traditional British" which we'd probably disagree with, but we're big fans of this vibey Islington restaurant.
Himi (Soho/Carnaby) - The more casual and izakaya-style restaurant from the Roji team which is just as excellent as their previous omakase offering.
Pinna (Mayfair) - An ex-Wild chef leads this high-end Italian from the team behind Wild Tavern and the like.
Added in May 2025
Dear Jackie (Soho) - The fancy basement restaurant at the Broadwick hotel, with the food described as "attractive yet no case of style over substance" (Highlighted restaurant)
Krokodilos (Kensington) - High-end Greek restaurant from the Wild/Pinna team.
Silva (Mayfair) - A classic old-school European restaurant in Mayfair that we described as "a restaurant that is doing everything well."
Toklas (Temple) - A surprisingly long-overdue addition to the guide for this Mediterranean restaurant with a fantastic bakery nearby.
Added in April 2025
Restaurant Gordon Ramsay High (City of London) - Gordon's extremely high-rise, single counter restaurant outpost of his original signature place in Royal Hospital Road. (Highlighted restaurant)
Bar Valette (Shoreditch) - More casual, European-focused offshoot of The Clove Club.
Canteen (Notting Hill) - Ex-River Cafe chefs have made this Italian restaurant one of the hottest places in the area.
Long Chim (Soho) - Casual Thai restaurant that heralded the return of top chef David Thompson to London.
