It's time again for the main awards of the season as The Michelin Guide has unveiled its new stars for 2026. Michelin stars are much prized by chefs and it's still the main restaurant award that is globally recognised. Here are the London restaurants that got their new stars in 2026.
New two-starred restaurants
Bonheur by Matt Abé
Mayfair - 43 Upper Brook Street, London W1K 7QR
Having previously helmed the three Michelin-starred flagship restaurant of Gordon Ramsay, Bonheur marks chef Matt Abé's first solo venture. He's taken over an iconic restaurant site, where Le Gavroche used to be, but you'd barely recognise the space now. Muted modern tones, contrasting with a vibey soundtrack, are the order of the day with an intricate menu and flawless service. It's clever and modern and a good indicator of what Michelin is looking for now.
How much? From £165
Row on 5
Mayfair - 5 Savile Row, London W1S 3PB
With the closure of Pollen Street, Row on 5 became Jason Atherton's key restaurant in London. It's the second Row to open (the first was in Dubai) and it's a promenade event for diners, starting downstairs in the bar and finishing there. Helming the restaurant is former Ritz head chef Spentzer Metzger, who fronts a team offering a flawless experience from start to finish.
How much? From £195 (£150 at lunch)
New one-starred restaurants
Legado
Shoreditch - 1 Montacute Yards, 185-186 Shoreditch High Street, E1 6HU
Legado is the second restaurant from Nieves Barragan, who won a Michelin star for Sabor. The Shoreditch restaurant, dominated by a huge open kitchen and counter, features dishes from across Spain, delivered with the panache that you'd expect from the chef. That's paired with an excellent Spanish wine list and an all-day bar with its own snacks menu.
How much? A la carte pricing
Tom Brown at The Capital
Knightsbridge - The Capital, 22-24 Basil St, London SW3 1AT
The Capital has a longstanding history of acquiring Michelin stars for its in-house restaurant, with successive offerings from Brian Turner and Eric Chavot to Nathan Outlaw attracting the guide's attention. Now it's the turn of chef Tom Brown, who closed his own Michelin-starred restaurant in Hackney to open one here. British seafood, given the luxe treatment, is what you're getting here in an elegant dining room.
How much? A la carte pricing, six-course tasting menu £120

Restaurant Gordon Ramsay High
City of London - 22 Bishopsgate, London EC2N 4BQ
Gordon Ramsay runs all the restaurants at this City skyscraper, but for the lucky few the destination is this fine dining chef's table up on the 60th floor. Look down on the rest of London, figuratively and literally, while enjoying a menu that roams the British Isles for culinary inspiration.
How much? £250

Ambassadors Clubhouse
Mayfair - 25 Heddon Street, London W1B 4BQ
This large, spectacular-looking Mayfair restaurant comes from the same group that's also behind the nearby Gymkhana. This restaurant is a larger, more opulent affair than its predecessor, with a menu that's all based around Punjabi cuisine, including the cocktails.

Somssi by Jihun Kim
Mayfair - 22 Hanover Square, London W1S 1JP
With chef Akira Back having come, been awarded a star and departed swifly afterwards, the baton for this Korean tasting menu restaurant was handed to Chef Jihun Kim. It's an all-counter dining affair in the heart of Mayfair with a modern take on Korean cuisine. There's nothing else quite like this in London right now.
Corenucopia
Chelsea - 18-22 Holbein Place, London SW1W 8NL
What do you get if you give a Michelin-level kitchen team a menu of British classics to interpret? The answer is Corenucopia, which sees multi-starred Clare Smyth opening her refined take on a British brasserie. So the fish and chips are made with Dover sole and lobster mousse, and there's an entire menu devoted to the potato referencing chef Clare's upbringing on a farm in Northern Ireland.
How much? A la carte pricing. mains circa £30-£60
The Kerfield Arms
Camberwell - 16 Grove Lane, London SE5 8SY
This South London pub comes from the team who also run the very well-reviewed (and award-winning) The Baring in Islington. The Kerfield Arms has a seasonal, sustainable approach to its regularly changing menu, but keep an eye out for the fantastic pizza dough bites with taramasalata. There's a separate bar area if you're dropping in for a drink, so it's still very much in "proper pub" territory despite the Michelin star.
Michael Caines at The Stafford
Mayfair - 16-18 St James's Pl, London SW1A 1NJ
After winning a star at Lympstone Manor, Michael Caines has done the same for his first London restaurant. Set inside The Stafford hotel in the heart of St James, the menu here celebrates the best of British produce, and you'll also find quite a few of the chef's signature dishes from Lympstone Manor.

Labombe by Trivet
Mayfair - 19 Old Park Ln, London W1K 1LB
A sibling restaurant to Michelin-starred Trivet, this saw co-founders Chef Jonny Lake and Master Sommelier Isa Bal take the wine-forward creation that they started down in Bermondsey and transfer it to Park Lane where the old Met Bar used to be. As you might imagine, the wine offering is exceptional and the menu is grill-focused.
