Endo Kazutoshi has had a very busy time of late. Following a fire, he relocated Endo at the Rotunda to Annabel's for five months, and he's also getting ready to launch a new Sumi restaurant in Marylebone.

They only just announced that the original Milk Beach is transforming into a wine bar.Now the same team is opening a new place in Soho. This time, they're joining the handroll craze that seems to be everywhere right now, although there are more than just handrolls on the menu here.

The new place is Saltwater, a new takeaway sushi place on Berwick Street. The key difference here is that

We're not quite sure how this happens, but every once in a while you can see a massive trend rolling its way out through the London restaurant scene. Over the last twelve months, the new London openings all seem to have either been Italian or Japanese handroll bars.

Into the latter's mix that's already seen Kumori, Temaki, Maki Nori and Saltwater opening within months of each other, comes Miokuru in Soho. It's tucked away on Warwick Street, just off Regent Street, and it's another tiny space with room for just 20 diners.

So what makes this place different to all the rest?

In the heart of Soho, Kumori is a vinyl/sushi bar serving up innovative handrolls. We went down to take a look.

We've already written about the new Maki & Ramen that has recently opened in Soho, but it turns out that they have another trick up their sleeve. The space that they took over was pretty large (it used to be La Bodega Negra), so they've decided to open something new in the upstairs section called Maki Nori.

Maki Nori is a Japanese handroll bar, something that's a bit of an emerging trend in London (we'll soon get another bar, ...

Japanese handrolls have become a big deal in London of late. We've seen the recent arrival of Temaki in Mayfair, and next up is Kumori in Soho, an opening that has a particularly strong team behind it. You may have seen them popping up around town before (particularly in their recent Marylebone residency), and they were also at the Monaco Grand Prix. But this will be their first permanent restaurant.

Kumori founder Marc Flekei has brought in John Randy De

What was once the Michelin-starred Taku has been taken to the next level by the arrival of one of the world's best sushi chefs. We went to see just what you can expect from Sushi Amamoto.

The team behind Goodman have opened a Tokyo-style izakaya right opposite their other restaurant on Old Jewry. We went down to check out the City's newest high energy sushi offering.

Some of London's great lunchtime deals come in the form of bento boxes, or the more ornate hakozen boxes. Here's our pick of the best out there.

We'll be honest with you, we hadn't even realised that La Bodega Negra had shut down. But it definitely has because there's a new restaurant just about to take over its cavernous site on Old Compton Street.

Maki & Ramen is a mid-tier restaurant group that was first launched in Scotland by Hong Kong-born chef Teddy Lee, and the name is pretty self-explanatory. Sushi and ramen are at the heart of the menu, and they say they're trying to hit that middle point "between high-end dining and grab-and-go".

It serves up an absolutely massive menu with no fewer than 17 ramen

Marylebone has a new sushi spot that wouldn't look out of place in the heart of Mayfair. But it turns out that Aki London is more than just a looker.

Sushinoya are going big in London. The first outpost of this new high end grab-and-go sushi spot opened in King's Cross and while we still have to wait for them to open in Moorgate, their flagship store is opening imminently in Chinatown.

As with their first opening, all the sushi is made on-site daily, sourced from whole fish. This branch of Sushinoya will have a

He's already been a huge hit in the Harrods Dining Hall, now chef Masa Takayama is heading into the centre of town to open a second London restaurant, this time in the upcoming The Chancery Rosewood hotel in Mayfair. Tobi Masa will be joining fellow NYC restaurant Carbone in the Rosewood opening on Grosvenor Square. It'll feature an omakase counter, a
