Sushinoya are going big in London. The first outpost of this new premium grab-and-go sushi spot opened in King's Cross and while we still have to wait for them to open in Mooragate, their flagship is opening imminently in Chinatown.
As with their first opening, all the sushi is made on-site daily, sourced from whole fish. This branch of Sushinoya will have a little more than their other openings, with an expanded range of sushi that includes rarer cuts like Chutoro tuna, Yellowtail (Hamachi) and Eel (Unagi). There will also be new bento boxes here, and they're getting ready for some seasonal boxes as we hit the festive season.
It all comes from Dong Hyun Kim, the man who originally founded Wasabi, and is trying a different, more refined approach this time around.
More openings are planned too, with a Tottenham Court Road outpost in November, and that Moorgate operation opening in Spring 2026. Essentially, if you're after some decent sushi on the run, this is a new place to keep in mind. And on top of that, they have plans for new Korean and Japanese openings in 2026, and we'll have more news on those soon.
