Out of all the smashburger joints in London (and there are quite a few these days), Junk (which hails from Paris) is the one that is clearly going big on the expansion trail. After opening in Spitalfields a few months ago, they're already getting ready to open another Junk, together with the companion cookie shop Puffy (they're taking the old Avocado Show space).
It's not the only smashburger place to open in Covent Garden either, as Heard is getting ready to launch too.
The menu at Junk will be similar to the other openings, so you'll find the classic cheeseburger, the truffle double cheeseburger with fried onions and truffle sauce and the crispy veggie burger, as well as their panko chicken bites. And all the burgers can be maxed out with more patties - up to five if you really want to challenge your cholesterol levels.
As for Puffy, that's all about big soft and chewy cookies, like their chocolate duo & peanut butter and white chocolate & matcha. Although connected, they're opening as separate spaces, with Puffy first before Junk opens in December.
