City of London diners have plenty of choice on their doorstep, so it's interesting to see how some restaurants manage to stand out from the crowd. We visit Straits Kitchen at the Pan Pacific London which does just that.

Featuring the lunar cycle as its theme, this high rise omakase restaurant turns out to be a lot of fun for the dinner guests.

You'll see Rick Stein restaurants all over Padstow, but at the moment his only London outpost is in Barnes (a notably great restaurant for riverside dining). We're impressed by the perfect timing behind the new Guinness pop-up experience that's coming to The Ned. On for three months, they've chosen the perfect time of year to launch it, just in time for St Patrick's Day.

The Guinness Bar will take over the Long Bar on the lower ground floor of The Ned. They're describing it as an immersive experience so there'll be all kinds of Guinness paraphernalia and old Toucan posters.
