One of the city's most well-known 24-hour restaurants in London is the sky-high Duck & Waffle in the City. But now it looks like another restaurant is getting in on the action, one that literally looks down on Duck & Waffle.
News has reached us of a recent planning application to the City of London to change the hours of Gordon Ramsay's restaurants at 22 Bishopsgate, specifically on floors 58-61 of the building, to allow them to change their trading hours to "24 hours a day seven days a week". Essentially that's Lucky Cat right now, with a new Bread Street Kitchen to come.
Given that there's a restaurant practically next door (but not as high) that runs to the same hours, we'd imagine the application would be a difficult one to challenge, but who knows with London's planning laws? That's just about all we know at the moment, but given that Gordon's currently filming a docuseries with Netflix at the moment, we wouldn't be at all surprised if this was one of the storylines. If so, sorry about the spoilers...
It's early days on this one - we'll let you know as we find out more.
