Milanese-coded Sartoria comes to The City, opening by Liverpool Street

Milanese-coded Sartoria comes to The City for its next opening

Last year, we wrote about how The Evolv Group (previously D&D) were going all-in on their Sartoria brand, expanding the restaurant that was originally launched by Francesco Mazzei into a mini group of restaurants. Well, that's continuing apace as they're already about to launch the fourth outpost.

Rather than opening brand new places, Evolv have been repurposing some of their existing restaurants, this one being just opposite Liverpool Street Station. Once, this was a pair of restaurants - New Street Grill and Fish Market. New Street Grill has relaunched as Liverpool Street Chophouse (and apparently it's been a very successful relaunch), while it looks like Fish Market is becoming the new Sartoria.

The three chefs at Sartoria in Savile Row, Battersea and Launceston Place have apparently all joined forces to create the menu in the City and like those, it's going to focus on Milanese cuisine. Details of the menu haven't been released yet, but looking at the other openings, expect a traditional four-course Italian menu, with dishes including vitello tonnato, tagliatelle with ossobuco ragu, saffron and Parmesan, veal Milanese and more. Like the others, this Sartoria should also open for breakfast and Sunday lunch. We'll add details of that menu when they're released.

The site has been given a complete makeover too, once again Milan-influenced, as well as a terrace that's inspired by Lake Como. Just don't expect weather like Lake Como when it opens...
