They already own two dim sum restaurants in Wimbledon and Ealing as well as Tao Tao Ju in Chinatown, but now the folks behind the Good Fortune Club are coming into the centre of town with a hot new prospect.
Banquet 88 is being described as "a premium Cantonese dining experience". What that means is that it'll be just as good a spot to host business clients as to have one of those epic family dim sum lunches on the weekend. Think big tables, big menus, and a whole load of dim sum to choose from.
They're promising Cantonese classics like whole Peking duck, roast suckling pig as well as a good selection of prime seafood dishes.
The new restaurant will be riverside on the docks here (so great feng shui), and in addition to space for 140 diners inside, there will also be a private dining area. And it looks like, although they haven't confirmed it yet, that there will be space for outside dining overlooking the yachts on the docks.
