It's been a while since we've seen a new restaurant launch at 10 Heddon Street, the space that once held Manteca, Fallow and Sarap as residencies. The residency days are behind it now and instead, it's relaunching as a permanent Georgian restaurant, DakaDaka.
It's the first restaurant from new hospitality group Berkeley Square Hospitality. That comes from Giorgi Mindiashvili and Mitz Vora, previously at Ennismore, where they helped launch restaurants like Eggbreak and Seabird. News on what they're planning at DakaDaka is a little light on the ground right now, but we do know it will be a modern interpretation of Georgian cuisine. Open-fire cooking will be a big focus and the menu will feature a combo of British and Georgian ingredients.
The redesign of the space will open up a new floor of 10 Heddon Street (the previous residencies only took up the ground floor), adding in a private dining space.
We'll have more on this one closer to the opening.
