Until now, Temper has been known mainly for its steaks and tacos in Soho and the City, but they're about try something different. They're opening a new wine bar called Temper Tantrums in Marylebone.
They're taking on a space that was until very recently a Be At One bar that's pretty close to Oxford Street (it only just closed at the end of August). Under Temper, it's going to be a combo wine bar and live music space. It's also following the template we've seen from a few bars like this. So it's starting with coffee and pastries in the morning and changing into a wine bar as the day progresses. At the moment, we don't know too much about the menu (or the wine list), but we're told to expect Mediterranean-inspired plates from them.
They also say that the bar will be inspired by the 70s and 80s, so we're guessing they're going for an old-school feel.
We're always happy to see a new wine bar in London, so we'll find out a little more about what to expect with Temper Tantrums in the run-up to its opening.
