In news we'd been hearing about on the grapevine for a while, Claude Bosi has revealed that he is heading back to Michelin House in South Kensington for a new restaurant.
Back in 2025, there was the shock announcement that he was leaving Michelin House (aka Bibendum) after what appeared to be a falling out with the landlords. After all that, we later heard that he'd actually got that lease back, but only now are he and Lucy Bosi (who also run Josephine together) announcing their plans to open a new restaurant there. It seems unlikely that it'll be a return of Claude Bosi at Bibendum and much more likely to be a completely new restaurant.
Claude and Lucy also run the Josephine restaurants together, and while we've been hearing murmurings that a third Josephine outpost in planned, we also wouldn't be at all surprised if one opened in the space that used to be the oyster bar.
This does, however, mean that Bosi is parting ways with The Peninsula hotel, where the chef won two Michelin stars in a near-record four months. That restaurant will close in January 2027, but as they'll be opening at Michelin House in spring 2027, we're betting that quite a few of the staff will be making the move to South Kensington.
More news on this one as we get it.
