It's one of those restaurants in London that you may not have been into yourself, but you've definitely taken note of the almost perma-queue outside. Beirut-originating steakhouse Swiss Butter has always operated on a walk-in basis, hence the queues. But now, three years after they opened their first London restaurant, we hear that moves are afoot to head east.
Over on Bethnal Green Road, across the road from the Knave of Clubs, an eagle-eyed Hot Dinners reader spotted that the group are already hard at work transforming a former falafel space into their next steakhouse.
We know literally nothing more than that, but it's a safe bet that they'll be serving up their standard Le Relais de Venise l'Entrecôte-style menu, which features steak, chicken or salmon served with fries, salad, baguette and their signature butter sauce. The dessert choice is equally short with a choice of pain perdu or molten chocolate cake.
We'll bring you more news on this as we get it.
Thanks to Hot Dinners reader Sam for the intel.
