Aussie brand Yo-Chi are opening in London, and people are losing their minds

London's food scene is having a bit of a thing for frozen yoghurt right now. We've already had the LA company Go Greek Yogurt opening up to huge queues on South Moulton Street. And now the next viral launch looks like it'll be Australia's Yo-Chi, in Notting Hill.

We'll admit, we'd never heard of it, but we could see fans on social media going completely crazy at the thought of being able to get this particular brand of fro yo in London. If you are also in the dark about why this is going to be a big thing, it's apparently one of the fastest-growing food companies down under. The stores themselves are a vibe with DJ booths and disco balls making them just as much a place to hang out in the evening as they are a daytime destination.

As for the food itself, that's very much a DIY affair with everyone picking the combo they like most. There are nine base flavour yoghurts to choose from, including salted butterscotch, strawberry cream and acai, and then you get to head to the topping station where add-ons include fresh fruit, brownies, kiwi fruit pearls and cookie dough.

"For those who haven't tried Yo-Chi, it's hard to fathom just how much hype there is around a frozen yogurt shop," says co-owner Oliver Allis. "But honestly, there's no other place with a better product. We're talking yoghurt made from fresh milk, not powder, plus ethically sourced açaí and fresh fruit cut every day, plus all the treats we love like cookie dough and pistachio spread.

Back home it's become like the new club - we've got bouncers on the door on Friday and Saturday nights, people go on dates there, and there's such a mix of ages."

Folks already seem incredibly excited about the London opening, so we're expecting this to get a very warm welcome when it finally opens its doors.
