"Bri-talian" pizza is coming to Peckham with Connie's

London's pizza scene really exploded in 2025 and 2026 looks like it's off to a similarly strong start with Connie's Pizza. It comes from Andrea Asciuti, the founder of 081 Pizza, based in Peckham and Shoreditch, which has made it onto the Top 50 Pizzas in Europe list.

Connie's (named after Andrea's wife) will be a little different from 081. As Andrea explains, it's offering up the "UK’s first Bri-talian pizza". That means it will be a London-style crispy pizza, albeit made by Italians. The ingredients will also be very different from your standard pizzeria, too, using seasonal and local British ingredients like leeks, aubergines, chicken and more. So the classic margherita will use British mozzarella, the nduja pizza will use local stracciatella and they'll also have a tomato and aubergine pie on offer.

Alongside the pizzas, there will be meatballs, deep-fried mac ‘n’ cheese and mozzarella sticks. And there will be just one dessert - Fiocco di Neve, which is a soft mini brioche filled with ricotta and whipped cream.

So, if you're looking for something a little different from your usual pizzeria, albeit run by a seasoned pizza master, this sounds like it will be worth searching out.
