HANBAAGAASUUTEEKI takes an Asian-inspired approach to smash burgers in Victoria

No, we still haven't reached peak smash burger - here's one we missed (it opened about a month ago). Called HANBAAGAASUUTEEKI, it's an Asian-inspired smashburger restaurant that's opened in Victoria not too far from Bleecker and Shake Shack.

There are just three burgers on the menu, kicking off with the standard Another Double Cheese Burger. Doing things a little differently, next is the Thai-inspired Isan Burger featuring Bird’s Eye chili and the Korean-inspired Kimchi Burger, with slow-fermented kimchi. They also do "naked burger plates" if you're avoiding the carbs and an off-menu-but-everyone-knows-about-it Szechuan chicken sandwich. All are served in potato buns, which we approve of.

On the side, there are either kimchi or miso-loaded fries, and we do like the sound of their togarashi padron.

So if you're on a mission to try all of London's smash burgers, this one should be added to the list.
