London's rooftop bar scene is stupidly competitive but one new opening this summer has an ace up their sleeve. Searcy's Bar & Brasserie in Westminster has been open for a while, but this is the first year they've let the general public up to their roof terrace. For the summer season, they've teamed up with the Bolney wine estate for a bar that has frankly jaw-dropping views of one of the city's most recognisable landmarks, Big Ben (and yes, we do know that's actually the name of the bell not the tower).
The new bar, which puts drinkers right amongst the towers and spires of Westminster, is serving up a range of Bolney cuvees alongside their own label champagne. For food there's a choice of a cheese or charcuterie board. Entry to the bar is a tenner, but that gets you a glass of wine included in the price.
As entrance to the rooftop bar is through The Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors next door, coming here is a weekday-only treat. But you can expect photos from here to be popping up on your FYP from now till the end of the summer.
