Hawksmoor and YouTuber Calfreezy have teamed up to create "The Burgurr"

Firmly in its 20th anniversary celebrations this year, Hawksmoor is getting ready to unveil a big new burger collab across all their restaurants in August. 

They've teamed up with Callum Airey, best known as Calfreezy, to launch the limited-edition Burgurr. If you're not sure who Calfreezy is, he's one of the UK's biggest food and drink YouTubers (he's also big on Instagram). He's been reviewing fast food and burgers across the world and often gives out a Golden Burger award if something really deserves it. So the team-up with Hawksmoor is very much him putting his money where his mouth is. 

"The Burgurr" sees him teaming up with Hawksmoor chef Matt Brown to direct him to create a bacon double cheeseburger (Brown also created the Big Matt and the Royale with Cheese for Hawksmoor, so he knows his way around a burger). As for what they came up with, it features two dry-aged British beef patties, American cheese, smoked streaky bacon, white onion and a signature burger sauce, all within a milk bun. 

As Calfreezy says, "I've reviewed and ranked more burgers than I can count, so there is real pressure on me to get it right when it came to putting my own name on one". If you want to see if he's done a good job, the burger will be in all Hawksmoor from 3 August.
