Jamie's Italian is coming back from the dead

Jamie's Italian is coming back from the dead

When Jamie's Italian went under back in 2019, it was one of the most public closures possible, with coverage all over the press. But, the brand has managed to keep going overseas and, much to pretty much everyone's surprise, it's coming back to the UK too.

This time, the chef is spreading the risk about a bit as it's going to be a team-up with Prezzo and the first opening is going to be in Leicester Square. Apart from that, very few details have been revealed so far. All we know is that it will have "a renewed focus on fresh pasta and quality ingredients, all while ensuring guests experience warmth and generosity."

Since Jamie's Italian last closed, the fresh pasta market has shifted quite a bit in London, with Lina Stores, Notto and Bancone all big players. Just how Jamie plans to compete with them remains to be seen.
