A new Arcade Food Hall might be coming to Covent Garden

A new Arcade Food Hall might be coming to Covent Garden

The revived food hall trend keeps trundling on. Recently, we've had Market Halls in Paddington, Kerb's Corner Corner in Canada Water, and now there's news that a new Arcade Food Hall is on the way.

According to property website Estates Gazette, Arcade are taking over what was the big TGI Fridays site in Covent Garden (which closed back in 2022). That's a relatively big corner site opposite the Covent Garden Nando's. Earlier planning documents suggest that this was once going to become a huge Wetherspoons, so this is certainly an improvement on that.

But even though it's a big site, it's definitely not going to be quite as big as the Arcades in Centre Point (pictured) or Battersea. And as such, we're told that it will be a "unique" take on the Arcade experience. Exactly what that means, we'll have to see, but we'll assume that they'll bring in some of the kind of food that features in their other spaces.

Regardless, this one's still a way off, so don't expect anything until 2026 at the earliest. We'll update you all as new details filter in.
