18/7/25 - updated with more details
Just after Lisa Goodwin-Allen rejoined Northcote, after making a surprise departure announcement just two months prior (being sold to new owners helped with that), she's also announced she was to open a new restaurant at The Beaumont, called Rosi. Now we have a few more details about what's planned.
It's not her first London hotel, of course, as she was in charge of the menu at The Game Bird at The Stafford (which used to have the same owners as Northcote).
Rosi is being called a modern British brasserie, with "reimagined classics" (although how they're reimagined is yet to be revealed). On the menu, there will be seasonal pies as well as an always-on "old-fashioned pork pie" and a chicken Diane dish. There will be British-sourced steaks that include English wagyu and a bit of tableside theatre is planned. As for desserts, they'll apparently have "flamed seasonal sponge with custard" and the build-your-own-sundae, launched in the Corbin & King days will still be on the menu. They'll also have Goodwin-Allen's take on blancmange.
As for the look, the interior is being brightened up (there are no windows in there, so that seems sensible) in a move that they say is a "move away from the masculine, clubby feel of The Colony Grill". From the designs (pictured above), it looks like the overall structure of the room isn't being changed, though.
