  • Chopped chicken Caesar wraps are coming to London, courtesy of CZER. This is not a drill.

    Updated 10/5/26 with address

If you're as terminally online as we are, you might have recalled a TikTok earlier this year in which an American expat was bemoaning the lack of good chopped chicken Caesar wraps in London. That got a quarter of a million views, which in turn prompted hospitality folk Mairi and Marius of about-to-launch CZER to think maybe there's a business idea in that.

As Mairi explained to Hot Dinners, "We first started building the concept for CZER in January after I had a craving for one of these wraps so badly, but they just didn’t seem to

  • PaperBoy from Paris comes to The Standard London (with a run club, too)

It's been a while since the last pop-up/takeover of The Standard (that was Pecking House last July), but now a new overseas restaurant is taking over. This time it's PaperBoy from Paris, which is inspired by "the spirit of the 90s" and is almost as well-known for its collabs as its food.

The food at PaperBoy is sandwich-led, with options including their fried fish bun with white sauce, a fried chicken roll and a tuna tataki sandwich with cabbage, spicy mayo and bulldog sauce. They also do breakfasts, including an egg Benedict and omelette bun alongside fish and meat plates and

  • Tommy's Sandwiches in King's Cross is inspired by a passion for American subs

We can't be the only ones hearing American voices literally wherever we are in London. So it's clear there's already going to be a large expat audience for the new American deli opening up at King's Cross. But Tommy's Sandwiches are hoping that their loaded subs are also going to be the kind of sandwich that gets Londoners excited too.

According to owner, Washington native Tommy, he was inspired to open his sandwich shop after missing the big subs back home. "The UK has a sandwich problem," he says. "Sandwiches were invented there, but frankly, the sandwiches there are pretty
