Viral UAE coffee pop-up The Uncommon lands a permanent space in Knightsbridge

the uncommon coffee knightsbridge

In the past, it's popped up as a mirrored installation in the Al Faya desert and with blow-up chairs on a Dubai beach. Now, leftfield coffee folk The Uncommon are heading to London. For their first British opening, they've picked a permanent spot in Knightsbridge; so far, so standard. But, looking at the designs, it does seem as though this new Middle East to London coffee concept might be trying to do things a little differently.

For London, they've teamed up with the Tola Ojuolape Studio, who were responsible for the new-look Africa Centre as well as Tottenham hotspot Chuku's. And the design they've come up with is pretty striking.

Of course, all of that is by the by unless the coffee is any good. Here they're promising a choice of "small-lot, single-origin coffees [using a] range of processing methods — from washed to natural and experimental." For their signature drinks in London, you can expect a Dirty V60 (filter with foam layer) and the Uncommon Matcha with your choice of foams. They're also bringing over their premium hot chocolate.
