The Christmas season for 2024 is well and truly underway which means that London stores are stocking up with lots of Christmas treats. Leading the pack, with 26 locations across London, is the popular Danish bakery Ole & Steen. Alongside its traditional (and iconic) Cinnamon Socials and rye breads, there's a whole new menu of festive sandwiches, pastries and more available right now to get you in that perfect festive mood.
The award-winning turkey toastie
This Christmas sandwich isn't any old festive creation, it's won a five-star Gold Award at the 2024 Good Food Taste Awards. Translating the traditional Christmas dinner into sandwich form, Ole & Steen have taken two slices of golden focaccia and filled that with slices of roast turkey, crispy bacon, cranberry and sprout slaw. To that they've added some melted cheddar and a subtle hint of chili jam. If you're after the Christmas sandwich that has everything, this should definitely do the trick.

The Christmas Social
The Cinnamon Social is one of Ole & Steen's signature baked goods, and this year they've launched a twist on it called the Christmas Social. It's braided with orange jam, custard, and chocolate icing, and would be perfect as a centrepiece for any parties or get-togethers.

There are lots more Christmas treats in store - here's a taste of what to expect:
Sticky Toffee Pudding Muffin - A brown sugar muffin topped with sticky toffee sauce, crisp chocolate pearls and toffee pieces (£3.85)
Honeycomb & Chocolate Cheesecake – a creamy layered delight with chocolate ganache and whipped cream (£4.95).
Festive drinks - New this year, there's a Gingerbread Latte alongside a Hot Chocolate with Giant Marshmallow (from £3.95)
Crumble Mince Pie - No Christmas is complete without mince pies. The Ole & Steen versions are a twist on tradition, adding an almond crumble topping (£2.25 each or a box of six for £9.95)
Looking for gift inspo?
It's not just food that Ole & Steen have focused on for the festive season this year, there are loads of gifting ideas as well.
They've created special Cinnamon Social socks that are (literally) perfect as a stocking present at £9.95. There's even a Cinnamon Social candle (£18.50) which has a scent of sweet cinnamon, vanilla custard, and freshly baked dough (so you could try and pretend you baked everything yourself...). There's also a special Social Tote Bag (£8.95) and if you want to give the gift of food, gift tokens are available too.
