Doghouse Distillery is opening a bar in Clapham with London’s largest Old Fashioned menu

The actual Doghouse Distillery is in Battersea but now they're also opening a brand new bar, just a mile away, that's just off Clapham Common. They actually popped up there for a short while back in December, but since the beginning of the year, they've been changing it into a proper permanent bar for the local distillery.

The main distillery itself mainly focuses on gin, vodka and "moonshine", the latter of which is their version of an American-style whisky. And that's going to be used in what they're claiming is "London’s largest Old Fashioned menu", which will also include Old Fashioned flights if you want to try as many as possible. As for the cocktails, they'll be an extremely reasonable £9-£12, as it certainly helps keep costs down when they're the ones providing all the spirits. There will be pints too, mind, including Guinness.

Set across two floors, there will be whiskies ageing in barrels upstairs, while downstairs is modelled after a Nashville-style "low-lit honky-tonk speakeasy". They will, of course, be hosting masterclasses and tastings too. As for food, expect gourmet toasted sandwiches, charcuterie and cheeseboards.

So if you popped into the pop-up before Christmas and liked what you saw, it's about to come back for good.
