1/5/26 - Updated with full details about the opening.
A modern Indian restaurant that started life in Dubai (before opening in Mumbai too) is coming to London.
Trèsind describes itself as a "modernist Indian dining experience", so it's a high-end affair. The Dubai menu features dishes like scarlet prawns crudo and A5 wagyu striploin pathar kebab. However, it seems that they're doing something a little different in London.
In Mayfair, it will be a tasting-menu-only affair. Overall, the menu is led by Tresind's Chef Himanshu Saini, while the kitchen in London is run by Head Chef Amit Bagyal (previously at Yaatra). One big part of the tasting menu is the Chaat Trolley wlll be making its way to London for some tableside theatre (there's even a bit of liquid nitrogen involved in this one). There will also be dishes like lamb chop with rosemary vindaloo, paniyaram and chimichurri chutney. And one of their signature dishes is the Khichdi of India, a dish with 20 different ingredients that represent different states in India (it's also huge and takes about half an hour to prepare).
The basement bar is also planned as a big deal, with a particular focus on lesser-known spirits, and made with Indian ingredients. Down in the basement, there will also be a private room for tastings (while there's a full private dining room upstairs).
With this and Oudh 1772, London is getting two extremely interesting Indian restaurant openings this May.
