A new pizza residency is on the way. Fresh Hot Pizza have been running pop-ups since the beginning of the year, and now they're settling down in Haggerston.
It comes from James Fox, who got his pizza experience at Ria's, Dough Hands and Crisp Pizza, so he definitely knows his stuff. The pizzeria got a rave review from Bite Twice when it popped up in Forno and has all the hallmarks of being the next big thing in pizza.
The new residency will have seven pizzas on the menu, so look out for the following:
- Red pie - San Marzano, Coolea shavings
- Cheese - San Marzano, mozzarella, Grana Padano
- House - San Marzano, brown butter crumb, stracciatella
- Pepperoni - San Marzano, mozzarella, pep cups, pickled frigatelli’s, Grana Padano
- Hawaiian - San Marzano, mozzarella, spam, pineapple, Tajin, Grana Padano
- Dalston hot - San Marzano, nduja, Calabrian chilli, stracciatella, Grana Padano
- Popeye - Vodka sauce, spinach & ricotta, mozzarella, Grana Padano
Alongside those will be dips and a must-try garlic calzone.
Fox is launching the residency in The Fox pub in Haggerston, which only recently reopened after being closed since 2018. So not only do locals have their pub back, but a great pizzeria too.
