Gordon Ramsay's first Hell's Kitchen in the UK is going to be in Marble Arch

Gordon Ramsay is on a role at the moment, coming off the back of his very successful show Being Gordon Ramsay on Netflix. He's already announced that high high-rise Bread Street Kitchen is opening in May, and now he's revealed that the first Hell's Kitchen in the London is opening the month before. 

This is all part of a team-up with The Clermont Hotel Group and the first result of that will be the arrival of Hell's Kitchen in Marble Arch. 

Opening at The Cumberland Hotel, this will be the first Hell's Kitchen in the UK, having previously only been in America (Las Vegas, Miami and more) and Ibiza. As for where this stands in Ramsay's group of restaurants, it'll be more down the Bread Street Kitchen end of things as opposed to Petrus or Restaurant Gordon Ramsay. 

Hell's Kitchen is billed as an "immersive dining experience". Just how much that translates to the UK remains to be seen. After all, Hell's Kitchen still airs in the US, but there hasn't been a UK version since 2009. For instance, in the US restaurants, they showcase past winners on the wall. That won't mean much to UK diners (but perhaps they're really targeting the tourist market). There is also, as you will have seen on the Netflix show, a lot of merch, so it'll be interesting to see how much of that comes to the UK operation. 

The restaurant here, like the others, will be based around an open kitchen and they're promising "theatre and performance". Over here, the menu will feature his besf Wellington (of course) as well as lobster risotto and some new dishes that are being introduced just for London. They'll even have a five-course tasting menu of Ramsay classics.

So, if you've always fancied eating in a Hell's Kitchen, at least you won't have to go to Las Vegas to try it.
