You can hardly have escaped the arrival of Bristol sandwich kings Sandwich Sandwich in London with their huge layered sarnies and equally huge queues. Now the family-run business is moving into the West End, and this time they're hoping to make an impact on London's evening market.
Nick and Josh Kleiner's third London store is just being fitted out on Tottenham Court Road and it sounds like they're pretty stoked about it. " Moving onto one of the busiest streets in London and sharing the stage with some of the biggest names in hospitality kinda reminds me of that time I was 9 and I finally got to sit round the adults table at family gatherings," says Josh on Instagram. "You feel really big and grown up and try to forget the fact you’ve totally blagged your way to sit there."
They'll be opening on the stretch of the road by the Odeon Cinema where Leon used to be.
There's one more thing that's going to make their first West End opening stand out, and that's the opening hours. "TCR is going to be open really, really late." says Josh. "I'm just going to say it how it is, late-night sandwiches are better than afternoon sandwiches."
