There are two things that have become very big trends in 2025 - smashburger bars and pizzerias. Napoli on the Road adds another pizzeria to London, but this one is doing something a little differently.
It'll be a two-floor approach where upstairs will be a more standard pizzeria, but the downstairs space will feature a tasting menu experience. They say that they will give "pizza the same care and creativity as a fine dining experience". Details of what's on that menu are yet to come, but they'll be doing the whole tasting menu affair down there, all paired with curated wine flights (we'll bring you more news on that menu when we get it).
As for the pizzas themselves, they've won lots of awards with "Best Pizza Maker in the World" at the 50 Top Pizza Awards in 2023 and "Europe’s Best Pizzeria" 2024 and 2025 at the 50 Top Pizza Europa. Alongside the traditional, their more speciality pizzas include the Nerano (fior di latte, courgette cream, courgette chips, shavings of provolone, evo oil) and the Cheesewich (buffalo ricotta, fior di latte, stracciatella from Puglia, crispy Parmigiano Reggiano chips, Blue Stilton, homemade Piennolo cherry tomato jam).
As for the look, apparently they're going for a minimalist approach with chrome pizza ovens taking centre stage.
