She was a standout star on Channel 4's Five Star Chef, and her summer pop-up at Boxhall City saw people absolutely freaking out over her plantain burger. So we've got good news for all those fans: chef Joyce Kudia is now opening a permanent kitchen at the City food hall.
Biléyi by MsJoyceK is going to be an official trader kitchen at Boxhall City, serving up Congolese-inspired dishes. On the menu there'll be slow-smoked goat and flame grilled chicken along with plantain croquettes and more. But surely the biggest draw is going to be that plantain burger - a seasoned beef patty with avocado, caramelised onions and tomatoes sandwiched between two fried plantains.
"I'm so excited to be returning to BOXHALL City," says Joyce who adds that her earlier residency at the hall "was a real game changer, giving me the platform to share the bold flavours and rich traditions of Congolese cuisine with a whole new audience."
