Hot pot restaurants are ten a penny in London but the arrival of another new one in the centre of town has got fans rather excited. Yangguofu Malatang is a beast of a restaurant chain from China with over 7000 restaurants all over the world. Up till now if you wanted to try their food in the UK you had to head on over to Hammersmith, but a few weeks ago they unveiled their first restaurant in central London.
Their new two-storey restaurant has taken over the old Wing Wing on Charing Cross Road and Newport Court. If you haven't tried one before, their selling point is the massive range of options you have here. If you're an indecisive person, this is not going to be an easy place for you with over 100 different elements to choose from, starting with the protein - meat fish and tofu - and moving on to noodles, add-ons, and then the broth, condiments and finally the dipping sauce.
The spicy broth is what people really love here. It's "more than just spicy...a bowl of broth with real depth" Yangguofo Malatang say.
