It's been quite the journey for The Ritz under its Executive Chef, John Williams. Easily one of the best restaurants in London for a while, it took far too long to get its second Michelin star, but over the past few years, its reputation has been growing and growing. This year, it's reached the very top of the National Restaurant Awards top 100 list, officially becoming the UK's best restaurant for 2025.
At number two is Moor Hall, whose chef also won the Chef of the Year prize, while last year's chart topper The Ledbury came in at number three. In other notable moves, Adam Byatt's Trinity has soared nearly 30 places to come in at number 4 while OMA is the highest new entry at number 6, followed closely by AngloThai at number 7. And despite closing last month, Lyle's makes one last bittersweet appearance on the list.
