Bad Boy Pizza Society have so far been such a big success at their residency in Tulse Hill, Seven Dials Market and Vinegar Yard that they've been named National Pizza of the Year at the National Pizza Awards in both 2022 and 2024. Now they've decided that it's time to go permanent with a new pizzeria in Bethnal Green.
The plan is for the pizzeria to be about slices to take away during the day and a sit-down pizzeria in the evening.
As for the pizzas themselves, they're Italian-American inspired, with NYC-style pizzas the main event. On their other menus right now, you'll find classics like margherita and vodka sauce pizzas as well as :
- The Crusty Old Goat - mozzarella, goat's cheese, caramelised onions, black pepper, balsamic glaze and parsley
- Notorious PIG - Tomato sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, fresh basil, parmesan
- Fungi Town - Mozzerella, whipped lemon ricotta, mushrooms, fresh thyme, oregano, truffle oil, parsley
The rest of the menu will include chicken vodka parms, giant caesar sharers and deep-fried treats like their carbonara suppli. Drinks-wise, there will be wines, locally produced beers, including their own new house lager as well as shots, including house-made limoncello and picklebacks.
As part of the launch, they're kicking off a Kickstarter campaign, with options for support including exclusive merch, a year’s supply of pizza and a picture on the pizzeria’s wall of fame.
