26/4/25 - updated with the opening date
Dishoom already has seven restaurants in London, but for the eighth, they're going in a (slightly) different direction. Outside of town, they've opened three Permit Rooms, which are essentially offshoots of the main Dishoom, billed instead as all-day bars and cafes, and now they're bringing one of those to Notting Hill.
The Notting Hill Permit Room is taking over what was the Portobello Road Distillery, a fairly big four-storey building. You can expect something pretty similar to the out-of-town cafés as the menu is the same across all three of them. So you'll find some of their classics like the black daal, samosas and various curries and you will be able to get their bacon naan at breakfast.
