OshPaz is bringing Uzbek dumplings and plov to Regent Street

oshpaz uzbek dumplings

You may have already tried his food at Seven Dials Market or the recent World Halal Food Festival (where Big Zuu really, really loved it) but now chef Muzaffar Sadykov is bringing his Uzbek food right into the West End. OshPaz will open on Regent Street, offering a handy place to grab and go for breakfast and lunch and then transforming into more of an eat-in diner in the evenings.

Not tried Uzbek food before? Well the lynchpin of this Central Asian cuisine is plov (also known as pilaf). Here at OshPaz those rice bowls are slow cooked and served with lamb or chicken.

Other dishes you'll be able to try are:

  • Lagman hand-pulled noodles - pan fried or in an aromatic broth
  • Steamed dumplings (meat or veg) with a seasoned carrot salad, sour cream dip and chilli oil.
  • Shaslik kebabs fresh from the mangal, served with homemade pitta bread, fresh salad and chilli sauce.

The restaurant will have room for 20 people to dine in and sounds like it'll be an interesting addition for the West End.
