The Good Egg is getting bigger - they're opening their third restaurant in Camden.
If you're unfamiliar with their current restaurants, either in Carnaby or Margate, their menus are mainly inspired by a combo of Middle-Eastern cooking and classic Jewish delis. As the name suggests, there are plenty of eggs involved and they also do a mean brunch.
This new restaurant will have a new dish on offer, the Knafeh Ka’ak. A Middle Eastern dish, it's crisp kataifi pastry steeped in thyme and orange syrup and cheese, served up in a bagel or sesame-coated ‘ka’ak. Expect that to be turning up on a few Instagram feeds near you.
They'll also have the classics from the other restaurants, including their shakshuka, babka French toast, filled bagels (including salt beef with smoked cheddar, garlic and dill), lamb shawarma and zaatar fried chicken.
Here's hoping the new place will also be serving up the chocolate babka - because that's a must-have.
