Michelin kicked off their 2022 slow reveal today with the announcement of their Bib Gourmands. This year, Michelin are doing things a little differently, revealing the Bibs first, then the special awards and then the stars themselves (find out all about the timings here).
So today was the turn of the Bib Gourmands. Just as a reminder - they are billed as "‘good quality, good value restaurants". It's how they've managed to give out awards to restaurants that might not be quite as high-end as those that they feel are deserving of a star. So it allows them to recognise a more broader spectrum of UK restaurants.
Here's what got an award this year:
Brutto (Clerkenwell)
Humble Chicken (Soho)
Imad's Syrian Kitchen (Carnaby)
Manteca (Shoreditch)
Pahli Hill (Fitzrovia)
Next up, the special awards on 15 February before the big new stars reveal on 16 February at 10am.
