We've been big fans of Flat Iron since its early days as a pop-up so news that they're expanding to a massive new Covent Garden restaurant before the end of the year fills us with good cheer.
The new restaurant on Henrietta Street is going to have room for 180 diners - three times as many as their other places on Beak St and Denmark St. And, as they have so much space to play with, they've got some new features
...If a normal sized steak just isn't doing it for you - behold the Tomahawk special that's just gone on the menu at the new Meat and Shake in Ealing. It's part of their a new smokehouse menu and is 1700 grams of on-the-bone beef served with fries and sauce. The price of such meaty nirvana? £55 and you have to pre-order it 48 hours before.

From bread and wine to beef and beef - Kentish Town has a new restaurant on the way. Beef & Brew is taking over the former Pane Vino site on Kentish Town Road. And while its focus will be beef, this isn't a high end steakhouse, think more Flat Iron with an emphasis on cheaper cuts such as rump, onglet and the good old flat iron.
Head Chef and co-owner Jessica Simmons comes here via two of Angela Hartnett's restaurants - Murano and the Whitechapel Gallery
